Hopium partners with Saint-Gobain; Pure Hydrogen acquires stakes in H2X Global

Hopium (French auto manufacturer) has signed a partnership deal with Saint-Gobain Sekurit (a leading automotive glazing producer) to co-develop the glazing of the Hopium Māchina for its high-end hydrogen-powered sedan.

Saint-Gobain Sekurit will offer innovative solutions that combine design, safety, thermal and acoustic comfort to create the best user experience possible on all vehicle’s glass surfaces.

In a separate development, in Australia, Pure Hydrogen Corporation Limited (PH2) is acquiring an initial 24% interest in H2X Global Limited (hydrogen fuel cell auto company). Pure Hydrogen will also receive options to increase its interest to 48% in H2X, subject to customary condition precedents and is expected to close in a few weeks. Moreover, Pure Hydrogen will also be the preferred supplier of Hydrogen to H2X. H2X is an innovator in hydrogen automotive technology and is behind the team bringing the much-heralded Warrego Hydrogen Utility to the Australian market for sale in the first half of 2022.

Additionally, Pure Hydrogen will establish a new entity, Pure X Mobility Pty Limited (Pure X), to provide trucks for deployment for back to base operations such as waste disposal and cement mixers trucks for use in the Australian market. These industries are logical ‘starters’ for Pure X Mobility as they are short-run operators where refuelling can be managed at back-to-base locations.
