HyOrc Advances Waste-to-Methanol Technology with Independent Verification Milestone

HyOrc Corporation has announced the successful completion of an independent process verification for its waste-to-methanol technology, conducted in collaboration with Bureau Veritas.

The verification process, carried out through multiple on-site assessments, evaluated the performance, reliability, and operational stability of HyOrc’s integrated system, which converts refuse-derived fuel (RDF) into methanol. The company expects to receive formal certification once the final documentation phase is completed.

This achievement marks an important step toward commercial deployment of the technology and supports HyOrc’s ongoing project pipeline, including a planned pilot facility in Porto and a larger-scale development in Bulgaria.

Chief Executive Officer Reginald Fubara said the independent validation is a key milestone as the company moves from development to commercialization. He noted that third-party verification is essential for securing project financing and demonstrates the scalability and reliability of the platform.

HyOrc’s process converts waste materials into high-purity methanol using a combination of gasification, syngas treatment, and catalytic synthesis. The company sees this approach as a cost-effective and scalable solution for producing low-carbon fuels while supporting global efforts to reduce waste and emissions.
