VCI Global and V Gallant Position Carbon Assets as Core to AI Infrastructure Strategy

VCI Global Limited has highlighted a strategic shift towards integrating carbon-linked environmental assets, artificial intelligence infrastructure and tokenised real-world asset ecosystems, following comments on a proposed transaction involving forestry holdings in Indonesia and its broader digital infrastructure ambitions.

The company said it views the convergence of carbon credit ecosystems, AI infrastructure growth and digitally enabled real-world assets as a defining investment trend, arguing that sustainability-linked instruments will become increasingly embedded within next-generation technology platforms.

In parallel, V Gallant Limited outlined its position that global expansion in AI infrastructure is driving greater demand for carbon-conscious digital systems, with chief executive Audrey Liu stating that carbon-linked environmental assets are expected to play a more strategic role in future AI and tokenised asset ecosystems.

The proposed transaction centres on approximately 241,000 hectares of forestry assets in Indonesia, which the company said would strengthen its long-term positioning across AI infrastructure, carbon credit generation and real-world asset integration, while also supporting regional sustainability objectives and rainforest preservation initiatives.

According to the announcement, the consideration for the transaction will be satisfied through the issuance of V Gallant Class A and Class B shares, subject to standard closing conditions, milestone-based verification requirements and shareholder protections. The company added that it is continuing technical, legal and operational due diligence prior to final completion.

VCI Global Limited said the move reflects its broader strategy of aligning digital infrastructure growth with environmental asset development, as it seeks to position itself within what it describes as the emerging convergence of AI-driven systems, carbon markets and tokenised real-world asset frameworks.

Management added that it will provide further updates as the transaction progresses through due diligence and regulatory processes, with final completion dependent on customary approvals and verification procedures.
