Xebec Adsorption expands hydrogen business to Europe and the Middle East

Xebec Adsorption Inc, a Canadian renewable energy solution provider, has agreed to acquire Inmatec, a German manufacturer of onsite nitrogen and oxygen generators. Xebec will get control of Inmatec Gase Technologie GmbH & Co. KG, Inmatec GmbH and Inmatec Gas Technology FZC RAK in the United Arab Emirates.

Inmatec has installed more than 8,000 units of nitrogen and oxygen generators globally. The company grew significantly in 2020 on the back of high demand for medical-grade oxygen in hospitals due to COVID-19.

The acquisition will give Xebec a strong foothold to enter the hydrogen and renewable natural gas (RNG) in Europe and the Middle East.

Kurt Sorschak, chairman, CEO and President of Xebec Adsorption said: “Inmatec complements both our onsite hydrogen generators, which are produced by HyGear and our own industrial air and renewable natural gas products.”
