Hydrogen Energy Network (Hinet) to opens four hydrogen stations in January

Hydrogen Energy Network (Hinet) inaugurated hydrogen fuelling station at the Incheon Airport terminal-1 on 4th January 2021. The fuelling station will help start a hydrogen-powered shuttle bus service. Hinet also plans to set up another hydrogen station terminal 2 in the future.

The other three hydrogen stations are built in Sintanjin, Chuncheon, and Pyeongtaek Paengseong and all set to be opened in January. With these four new stations, Hinet will be operating a total of 10 charging stations.

Hinet charging stations can charge around 60 vehicles daily and like any other station, the charging time is around 3 minutes. The sale price of hydrogen is KRW 8,800 per kg (US$ 8.04 per kg).

It is expected that these fuelling stations will help promote fuel cell vehicles and will encourage more people to opt for fuel cell vehicles. The locals who have been driving hydrogen-powered vehicles will be happy to see the growing network of fuelling stations.
