Hydrexia and SEDC Energy sign MoU on hydrogen cooperation in Malaysia

Hydrexia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SEDC Energy on Hydrogen Refueling Stations and hydrogen storage technologies for SEDCE’s Projects in Malaysia.

Hydrexia entered into a cooperation with SEDC Energy (SEDCE), a wholly owned subsidiary of Sarawak Economic Development Corporation, which is tasked with the responsibility to enhance the presence of Sarawak’s relevant downstream oil & gas businesses globally and to spearhead the drive for new energy ecosystem within Sarawak in line with the State’s vision.

Hydrexia has rich experience in the design and manufacture of hydrogen storage systems and hydrogen refueling stations. Both Parties have agreed to enter into this MoU to declare their respective intentions and to establish a basis of cooperation and collaboration between the Parties with respect to Hydrexia Technology in SEDCE’s Projects in Malaysia.

SEDCE recognises the potential benefits of Hydrexia’s technology and intends to collaborate with Hydrexia in hydrogen production, distribution, storage, and transportation infrastructure. The cooperation mainly includes: Ø Hydrexia’s participation in SEDCE projects, Ø metal hydride hydrogen storage technology (MHx) application and Ø adoption of hydrogen refueling station information management system—H₂Meta

Furthermore, with customer-centered being our prospects, Hydrexia will also provide training and technical support to SEDCE staff at the commencement of any partnership hydrogen project, including knowledge transfer on the operation and maintenance of HRS and their monitoring systems. This will enable SEDCE to operate and maintain hydrogen refueling stations effectively and safely.

Through the cooperation, Hydrexia and SEDC Energy can maximize the strengths of both parties, explore more opportunities in the renewable energy industry and support the development of an ecosystem for the Malaysia hydrogen economy. Together, we will promote the potential of hydrogen as a clean and renewable energy source.
