HFC Bus Council launches; KBR to conduct engineering services for H2OK Project

NFI Group Inc. has announced that the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus Council has formally launched, of which NFI is a founding member.

The newly formed Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus Council aims to promote and advance the deployment of hydrogen fuel cell electric buses

The HFC Bus Council is a first-of-its-kind national coalition of public transit agencies, manufacturers, and suppliers working together to advance the US hydrogen fuel cell-electric bus economy and its applications in public transit. The council’s mission is to educate policymakers, regulators, and transportation stakeholders on the benefits of hydrogen fuel cell electric buses and related infrastructure.

KBR and Woodside Energy’s H2OK Project

Woodside Energy (USA) Inc. has awarded KBR an engineering services contract for its proposed H2OK liquid hydrogen production facility project in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Under the contract terms, KBR will provide a front-end engineering design for Woodside’s H2OK liquid hydrogen facility. Cryogenic liquid hydrogen is used in the transportation industry as a fuel for fleets where the combustion of liquid hydrogen produces zero emissions.
