GenH2 announces its new HQ
GenH2 will transform old car dealership property into its new headquarters.
GenH2 (a developer of hydrogen infrastructure solutions and liquid hydrogen production in the US) announced to convert the old Eckler’s Corvette property at Titusville, Florida.
It has purchased about a 10-acre campus for its new global headquarters in Titusville and will undergo a $35 million renovation and build-out.
Phase-1 of the renovation will cost US$ 4 million and will involve restoration and construction work on the main building, demolishing an old warehouse and working on the cosmetic features of a third building on the property.
The HQ will include the company offices, an advanced research lab, a light manufacturing centre, educational and training classrooms. It will be home to more than 100 employees. The new HQ will join its facilities in Texas, New Mexico, and other locations around the country, where it is planning to hire 400 new employees over the next two years.
Cody Bateman, GenH2 CEO and founder, said, “Since we actually grew up and came from the hydrogen economy here at NASA, at Kennedy Space Center, we thought it was only appropriate that we did something closer to home. Plus, a lot of our engineers already live here.”
The company also has a goal to build hydrogen stations in California and also to construct small and more efficient hydrogen stations across the country.
