FC TecNrgy Pvt securing a prestigious contract for Manportable fuel cell based battery chargers

Atmanirbhar Bharat reaches another milestone with Gurugram-based Fuel Cell and Sustainable Energy enterprise, FC TecNrgy Pvt Ltd (FCT), a leading Fuel Cell provider in India for direct methanol and hydrogen fuel cells, securing a prestigious contract with the Indian Army for 450 Nos Manportable Fuel Cell based Battery Chargers with complete accessories.

This is the largest fuel cell order awarded by the Indian defense forces so far. The order will be delivered over the next year for an initial order value in excess of Rs 140 Crores. FCT and its strategic partner SFC Energy AG of Germany will jointly collaborate and manufacture the system in India (through their Indian subsidiary, SFC Energy India). This follows the earlier order for 100 numbers of the same system delivered to the Indian Army in 2022.

This solution can charge multiple batteries carried by Infantry and Special Forces soldiers while operating off the grid in remote areas, at high altitudes, and during special operations. The system is based on Methanol as a fuel and is extremely dependable, lightweight, intelligent, has very low fuel consumption and has the ability to operate in extreme climatic conditions and harsh terrain.

The Indian Army and Ministry of Defence (MoD) are increasingly seeking clean energy solutions to replace polluting fossil fuel-based energy systems such as diesel generators.
