CGG and Kent sign hydrogen partnership; Sempra partners Kogas
The CGG & Kent partnership will provide end-to-end solutions to clients to achieve their energy transition goals with CCUS and H2 storage projects.
CGG (a geoscience technology company) and Kent (an energy services engineering company) to work together on realising decarbonisation opportunities through CCUS development and hydrogen production and supply.
The partners will be providing customers in the energy and industrial sectors with ‘end-to-end’ services across the life cycle of the projects.
CGG will deploy their world-leading capabilities for subsurface characterisation and subsurface risk analysis for CCUS and H2 projects as well as monitoring and instrumentation technologies for long-term monitoring and environmental assessment.
Kent will bring to the collaboration their world-class capabilities in engineering and design of facilities, CO2 capture, and transportation through pipeline to wellhead, where they will work alongside CGG from the wellhead and into the storage reservoir.
Sempra Infrastructure and KOGAS to explore hydrogen infrastructure
Sempra Infrastructure and Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) have entered into a non-binding MoU to explore opportunities to cooperate in the global energy transition to lower-carbon and zero-carbon fuels.
The MOU contemplates the companies’ joint collaboration around project development and offtake across multiple business areas, including liquefied natural gas (LNG), carbon capture and sequestration, and hydrogen infrastructure.
There are multiple opportunities for Sempra Infrastructure and KOGAS to collaborate across the lower-carbon value chain to deliver cleaner and more secure energy to their partners worldwide. KOGAS will focus on securing a new growth engine for the future by developing new business projects with Sempra Infrastructure.
