H2-Stations Platform Launch Aims to Standardise Europe’s Hydrogen Refuelling Data

The Clean Hydrogen Partnership has officially launched H2-Stations, a European platform designed to improve the availability, transparency and harmonisation of hydrogen refuelling station (HRS) data across Europe.
Formerly known as the European Hydrogen Refuelling Stations Availability System (E-HRS-AS), the platform has been relaunched under the new name H2-Stations with an expanded scope and a more user-focused approach. While its core objective remains unchanged, to provide reliable and up-to-date information on the location and operational status of hydrogen refuelling stations, the upgraded system is intended to better support users, operators, public authorities and the wider hydrogen community.
H2-Stations provides free and open access to both static and dynamic HRS data across Europe. It brings together a range of tools, including a real-time availability map of hydrogen refuelling stations, a portal with dashboards tailored to different stakeholder groups, supporting documentation and guidance, and access to standardised, AFIR-aligned data through export APIs. By harmonising how HRS data is collected, shared and reused, the platform aims to make station information more accessible, consistent and reliable across Europe.
The platform is also intended to support hydrogen refuelling station operators and national authorities in meeting their reporting obligations under the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR). It has been designed as a practical and evolving tool to contribute to high-quality, harmonised data provision at EU level, while supporting the wider deployment of hydrogen refuelling infrastructure.
The initiative is led by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership and delivered by Spilett New Technologies with the support of ERM and EMCEL.
