Hydrexia Signs Hydrogen Supply Deal to Expand into Vietnam Market

Hydrexia Holding Limited has secured a commercial agreement to supply hydrogen technologies in Vietnam, marking a key step in its expansion across Southeast Asia. The deal was signed between its subsidiary, Hydrexia SDN BHD, and KPT Chemical Group.
Under the agreement, Hydrexia will provide a range of hydrogen solutions, including its magnesium-based solid-state storage system (MHX) and mobile hydrogen refuelling stations. KPT will leverage its established presence in Vietnam to support market deployment and adoption.
The contract represents a milestone for Hydrexia’s regional growth, following previous hydrogen project developments across Southeast Asia. It also reflects the commercial rollout of the company’s MHX technology, which has recently been showcased to potential customers as a safe and market-ready solution.
Hydrogen supplied under the agreement will be sourced from the Darul Hana H2 Plant in Kuching, operated in partnership with SEDC Energy. The facility currently produces around 150 kilograms of hydrogen per day and is designed to scale in response to demand, with modular technologies such as MHX supporting efficient storage and transport.
George Gan said the partnership provides an entry point into the Vietnamese market and highlighted the company’s ability to deliver integrated hydrogen solutions. Meanwhile, John Tay noted that Hydrexia’s technologies align with KPT’s ambitions to build a comprehensive green hydrogen ecosystem covering production, transport and storage.
Vietnam is seen as a strategic growth market for Hydrexia, and the agreement underscores the company’s commitment to expanding its presence in the region through local partnerships and clean energy initiatives.
