Pure Hydrogen to supply hydrogen generator to PICAC

The generator will be used in PICAC’s Hydrogen Centre of Excellence in Queensland.

Australia’s Pure Hydrogen Corporation Limited agreed with PICAC to supply a Hydrogen Fuel Cell (HFC) 5kW generator for use at PICAC’s Hydrogen Centre of Excellence which opens next month.

The Centre will have a particular focus on the development of training in renewable hydrogen. The 5kW HFC genset supplied by Pure Hydrogen releases zero emissions and uses hydrogen as the only fuel to generate electricity. This is one of the first of its kind in Australia.

The unit will have broad applications, including usage in backup power and/or supply to power mobile communication towers, farms, businesses, hospitals, households and mine sites.

This technology is at the forefront of the hydrogen revolution and it is great to see it being implemented commercially and locally to support up-and-coming trade industries that understand Hydrogen & H2 appliances.

Pure Hydrogen expects to receive revenue of around $55,000 from the sale of the generator and supply of hydrogen in the first year. Pure Hydrogen is also working with industrial users to supply back-to-base refuelling solutions, power generation appliances & hydrogen vehicle supply.

Scott Brown, MD of Pure Hydrogen, said, “This Power H2 unit, developed by H2X in which Pure has a 23% stake, demonstrates our ability to bring hydrogen-powered products to market successfully given H2X’s strong technological skills and established manufacturing and logistics supply chain.”
