Planning for Onshore Green Hydrogen report

RenewableUK’s  “Planning for Onshore Green Hydrogen” report calls for the Government and devolved administrations to reform planning rules to enable green hydrogen projects to be built swiftly around the country, as they will play a key role in our future energy system.

Green hydrogen can be used in a wide range of sectors that have proved to be difficult to decarbonise so far, including generating heat for heavy industry and providing fuel for transport. It can also be stored to be used whenever it is needed, providing flexibility and ensuring the UK can always meet its energy needs.
