KEPCO KDN to participate in Ansan hydrogen pilot city
KEPCO KDN announced on the 10th that it was selected as the construction company for the Ansan Hydrogen Demonstration City Integrated Operation Center ordered by Ansan Urban Development Co., Ltd.
Following Jeonju-Wanju in 2022, the Hydrogen Pilot City, in which KDN is carrying out the construction of an integrated operation center for the Ansan Hydrogen Demonstration City, is a project under the supervision of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to revitalize the hydrogen economy. Five local governments have been designated as pilot cities and are currently being developed as hydrogen cities.
The integrated operation center built by KEPCO KDN is a hydrogen city control tower that supports the safety improvement and efficient operation of the hydrogen city from hydrogen production to consumption. It collects, analyzes, and manages operation and safety information in real-time to help predict the operation of urban energy based on big data.
An official from KEPCO KDN said, “We are focusing on stable hydrogen city operation and energy convergence management through the successful establishment of integrated safety operation centers in Jeonju, Wanju and Ansan hydrogen pilot cities and the experience gained in the demonstration process.” We will do our best to play the role of an energy ICT specialist that can contribute to city construction and actively respond to rapidly changing international energy changes.”
