Hynion to fuel hydrogen buses; Gen X Energy, ACE Enexor hydrogen plant in the Philippines

Hynion will continue to be responsible for refuelling when the buses go into regular traffic.

Hynion is to supply hydrogen to buses in Sandviken, Sweden and takes over Linde’s hydrogen filling station in Sandviken to provide hydrogen fuel to buses and cars.

With the acquisition of the hydrogen station in Sandviken, Hynion will become Sweden’s largest supplier of zero-emission hydrogen fuel. The transportation company Transdev has recently invested in two hydrogen buses and will soon put these buses into regular traffic on behalf of X-trafik, the public transport principal in Sandviken.

In a collaboration between X-trafik, Linde and Hynion, the buses were refuelled in December to complete the initial testing.

To supply buses and cars in Sandviken with hydrogen, Hynion is taking over the hydrogen filling station in Sandviken from Linde. The dialogue with Linde has been ongoing since Hynion took over the station at Arlanda this summer. Hynion is now taking over the operation and ownership of the station in Sandviken from 1st February 2022.

Fredrik Beckius, business manager Gävleborg and Hälsingland, Transdev Sverige AB, said, “Having competent and reliable players throughout the chain is crucial for the successful operation of our two hydrogen buses.”

Slavica Djuric, MD of Hynion Sweden, added, “We will work actively with the local players to ensure a positive development for hydrogen as a fuel in the region.”

Gen X Energy, ACE Enexor to develop hydrogen power Plant in the Philippines

Gen X Energy enters into a joint venture with ACE Enexor Inc (a subsidiary of AC Energy Corp.) to develop Batangas Clean Energy, Inc.’s 1,100 MW combined cycle power plant project in the Philippines.

The project will use natural gas and green hydrogen as its fuel to provide firm power to the grid to meet the Philippines’ growing energy demand and reduce the country’s reliance on coal-fired power generation. The joint venture will result in Gen X Energy and ACE Enexor each holding a 50% interest in BCE.

The project will be strategically located in the Batangas Bay Area of the Philippines, close to the load centre of Metro Manila. Gen X Energy will continue holding a 50% interest in BCE through its wholly-owned subsidiary Red Holdings B.V.
