Zen will continue to operate as HTEC’s wholly-owned subsidiary during this transition phase.

HTEC (Canada’s leading clean hydrogen production, distribution, and dispensing solutions company) has recently announced the acquisition of Zen Clean Energy Solutions (a specialized consulting firm primarily focused on the hydrogen and fuel cell sector).

This acquisition underscores HTEC’s commitment to delivering and expanding hydrogen supply solutions in support of the global clean energy transition.

Zen brings a strong portfolio of projects and hands-on experience in the zero-emission transportation space, focusing on working with transit operators that are transitioning fleets from conventional ICE vehicles to battery and fuel cell electric vehicles.

Colin Armstrong, President and CEO, of HTEC, said, “For more than six years, HTEC has been working with Zen on a suite of projects, complementing each other’s skills and services. This acquisition is a natural evolution of our valued and trusted partnership.”

Jeff Grant, current Principal, Zen Clean Energy Solutions, added, “The hydrogen-based sector is at the cusp of incredible growth, and we felt it was the right time to merge our capabilities and create a formidable team to deliver on our commitments.”

Sabina Russell, current Principal, Zen Clean Energy Solutions. commented, “It is personally quite satisfying to move into the next phase of Canada’s hydrogen journey as part of the HTEC team, where we can have a major impact on how infrastructure gets developed.”
