Guofu Hydrogen Energy and Haitai New Energy Partner on Green Hydrogen Value Chain

Guofu Hydrogen Energy has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Haitai New Energy to develop a fully integrated green hydrogen value chain, spanning production, transport and end-use.
The partnership aims to establish a closed-loop industrial system linking renewable power generation with hydrogen production, pipeline transport and downstream applications, with plans to jointly develop a demonstration project.
Under the agreement, Guofu will take the lead on hydrogen production and system development, drawing on its capabilities in electrolysis, equipment manufacturing and project operations. The company will also oversee the construction and operation of associated wind and solar power facilities.
Haitai New Energy will support the initiative by providing access to local resources, including land, renewable energy capacity and infrastructure. It will also contribute pipeline networks to facilitate hydrogen storage and transportation, ensuring stable delivery channels and market access.
The collaboration is designed to integrate upstream and downstream segments of the hydrogen economy, creating synergies across the full value chain—from green electricity generation to hydrogen consumption.
Both companies said the agreement aligns with China’s broader energy transition goals, particularly efforts to scale up green hydrogen as part of its “dual carbon” strategy to peak emissions and achieve carbon neutrality.
The project is expected to strengthen industrial coordination within the hydrogen sector, while offering a potential model for large-scale, commercially viable hydrogen deployment.
Guofu Hydrogen Energy said the partnership would enhance its position across the hydrogen ecosystem and support the expansion of storage and transportation applications, as the company continues to push for wider adoption of hydrogen as a clean energy carrier.
