Federal Pacific Secures Major AI Data Centre Infrastructure Contract

Federal Pacific has received a major contract award from Bloom Energy to supply medium-voltage switchgear and engineering services for a large-scale AI data centre project in the United States.
The agreement represents the largest single order in Federal Pacific’s history and highlights growing demand for electrical infrastructure linked to the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence and data centre capacity.
Under the multi-phase project, Federal Pacific will provide medium-voltage switchgear and related engineering support for mission-critical power systems. Manufacturing and engineering work will be carried out at the company’s facilities in Bristol, Virginia.
The contract also reflects broader investment trends in North American energy and grid infrastructure as hyperscale data centres and AI computing facilities require increasingly large and reliable power systems.
Federal Pacific said recent investments in manufacturing capacity, technical resources and engineering capabilities helped position the company to secure projects operating in highly demanding industrial and digital infrastructure environments.
The partnership further expands the role of Bloom Energy in supporting resilient power solutions for large-scale data centres, a market expected to see substantial growth as AI-driven computing demand accelerates globally.
The companies did not disclose the financial value of the contract or the specific location of the AI data centre project.
