Clean hydrogen coalition is formed in the US

CHFC has formed by a wide range of organisations that want to promote clean hydrogen policies in the US.

A group of around 20 diverse companies joined under a single platform to establish the Clean Hydrogen Future Coalition (CHFC), aiming to support clean hydrogen policies for decarbonisation.

Erik Mason, Nikola Global Head of Energy Supply & Trading, has been appointed as the incoming chair of the Clean Hydrogen Future Coalition. Mr Mason said, “Clean hydrogen fits squarely within President Biden’s plan to “Build Back Better” as it has the potential to decarbonise all sectors of the US economy, create and transition good-paying jobs, and grow our economy.”

The coalition will recommend an action plan that can help scale the US’s clean hydrogen value chain. The newly formed coalition also sent a letter to President Biden urging him to include clean hydrogen in his policy agenda. The letter also highlighted that clean hydrogen would accelerate the US economy’s decarbonisation and integrates all its energy resources, including renewable, nuclear, and fossil fuels, with carbon capture and storage.
