Cavendish Hydrogen secures strategic investment from BHDT

Cavendish Hydrogen ASA has announced a strategic equity investment and long-term cooperation agreement with BHDT GmbH, strengthening its financial position and supporting expansion in hydrogen fueling solutions for the mobility sector.

Under the agreement, Cavendish Hydrogen will issue new shares representing 17.7% of its share capital, with BHDT expected to hold approximately 15% of the company following completion. The investment, valued at around NOK 52 million, provides capital to support operational growth and continued technology development.

The partnership combines Cavendish Hydrogen’s expertise in hydrogen systems and integration with BHDT’s industrial engineering and manufacturing capabilities, aiming to accelerate innovation, scale solutions, and expand into hydrogen and adjacent energy markets. BHDT will also nominate a representative to the company’s board, reinforcing its role as a long-term strategic partner.

CEO Robert Borin described the agreement as an important step in the company’s growth journey, while BHDT CEO Michael Simml highlighted its alignment with BHDT’s strategy to establish hydrogen systems as a key pillar of its future business.

Alongside the investment, the companies have entered into commercial and research and development agreements to support structured collaboration while maintaining operational independence and flexibility, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing hydrogen technologies in the global energy transition.
