Nikola expanding its sales and service dealer network in the US through partnerships
Nikola Corporation (a manufacturer of heavy-duty commercial electric and fuel cells vehicles) will expand its Class 8 truck sales and service coverage in cooperation with Quinn Company (a truck service and construction equipment company in Central and Southern California).
Quinn will expand Nikola coverage across 15 counties, supporting the rapid growth of zero-emission commercial vehicles for all classes of trucks to help in rapid testing and adoption of the technology.
Pablo Koziner, Nikola’s President of Energy and Commercial, said, “Our dealer development team has been highly focused on securing best-in-class dealer coverage to support customers in this highly progressive environment.”
In early August, Nikola also joined hands with Alta Equipment Group to expands its network expansion in the northeastern US. The partnership should also complement Alta battery-electric and hydrogen fuel-cell technology through its materials handling business.
In July, Nikola added five independent dealers with more than 51 locations in Texas, Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Florida, Delaware, Virginia and Maryland. The five independent dealership additions included HOLT Truck Centers (7 locations in Texas), Empire Truck & Trailer (7 locations in Arizona and California), Wagner Equipment Co. (11 locations in Colorado, New Mexico), Ring Power (14 locations in Florida), and Carter Machinery (12 locations in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia).
In April, Nikola partnered with RIG360 Service Network to provide sales and service products for commercial customers at more than 65 RIG360 dealer locations throughout the US’s Southeast, Midwest, and Northeast regions.
Nikola has recently been awarded around US$ 2 million grant from the US Department of Energy to advance its research into autonomous refuelling technologies for future hydrogen fuelling stations.
