Hydrexia Secures Hydrogen Storage Contract for Hospital Backup Power

Hydrexia Holding Limited has won a commercial contract in the United States to supply hydrogen storage technology for a healthcare facility, marking a significant step in its expansion into the U.S. market. The project will be delivered through its subsidiary, Hydrexia LLC, in partnership with Apollo Mechanical Contractors.

Under the agreement, Hydrexia will provide a low-temperature solid-state hydrogen storage solution to Klickitat Valley Health, located in Goldendale. The system will be used to fuel an existing on-site fuel cell, supporting mission-critical backup power for the hospital.

The contract represents a breakthrough for Hydrexia’s international operations as it enters the U.S. market. The company’s proprietary storage technology is designed to offer a compact and inherently safe solution, complementing its existing magnesium-based hydrogen storage systems while enabling reliable performance at lower temperatures.

Jim Petrecky said the award reflects strong confidence in the company’s technology, highlighting its ability to support scalable and easily deployable backup power systems. Jonathan Lewis added that the solution aligns with the organisation’s long-term sustainability objectives and will strengthen its emergency power capabilities.

Hydrexia continues to expand its global footprint by delivering hydrogen solutions across production, storage, transport and end-use applications, with a focus on safe, efficient and cost-effective technologies to support a growing range of energy use cases.
