Skyline Industrial REIT fully leases zero-carbon industrial park in Halifax
Skyline Industrial REIT has announced the full leasing of its zero-carbon design Bayers Lake Industrial Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, marking a major milestone for sustainable industrial development in Atlantic Canada.
The 400,000-square-foot industrial park, located at 125 and 265 Julius Boulevard, has become one of the largest industrial facilities in the region and includes the largest industrial speculative lease recorded in Halifax.
The Canada Green Building Council-certified development was delivered by Skyline Industrial REIT in partnership with Secure Capital and Lindsay Construction, combining modern logistics infrastructure with zero-carbon design principles.
The two-building facility has been leased by three tenants. Building A, covering 230,235 square feet, has been fully leased by global logistics provider ID Logistics. Building B includes a Canadian warehouse and distribution company occupying 113,547 square feet, while F3 Group Inc. has leased the remaining 57,345 square feet.
Located within Halifax’s growing industrial corridor, Bayers Lake Industrial Centre provides access to major highways, rail connections and Atlantic Canada’s key ports, supporting logistics, warehousing and distribution operations.
Skyline Industrial REIT said the successful leasing reflects increasing demand for high-quality industrial space and the strength of Halifax’s recovering industrial market.
The development forms part of Skyline’s broader strategy to invest in sustainable real estate and renewable infrastructure assets across Canada. The company manages more than $10 billion in assets across its platforms and continues to expand its portfolio of environmentally focused developments.
The completion and full occupancy of Bayers Lake Industrial Centre highlights the growing importance of low-carbon industrial facilities as companies seek energy-efficient buildings that support both operational efficiency and sustainability goals.
