HRS secures five-year hydrogen station maintenance contract with HYmpulsion
French hydrogen refuelling station manufacturer HRS has signed a five-year framework maintenance contract with HYmpulsion covering all six hydrogen refuelling stations it has deployed for the Zero Emission Valley (ZEV) project in France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
The agreement covers HRS stations located in Aubenas, Saint-Égrève, Vénissieux, Lyon-Saint-Exupéry, Malataverne and Saint-Priest, with capacities ranging from 300 kg/day to one tonne/day. The contract is designed to ensure the long-term operational performance and reliability of the hydrogen refuelling network, which supports the rollout of zero-emission mobility across the region.
Under the agreement, HRS will provide comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance services, including 24/7/365 remote monitoring, technical support, spare parts management and rapid on-site intervention. The company said the service includes a three-tier support structure across the HYmpulsion network, with corrective maintenance teams able to respond within four hours when required.
Preventive maintenance will be carried out at all six hydrogen refuelling sites throughout the five-year contract, helping maximise station availability and ensure uninterrupted service for hydrogen-powered vehicles.
The contract strengthens HRS’s growing after-sales services business, which has become a key part of its long-term strategy. Of the company’s installed base of 31 hydrogen refuelling stations, 22 are now covered by maintenance agreements, while a further eight contracts are expected to be signed as additional stations enter commercial operation. HRS said recurring service revenue from maintenance activities grew by 33% during the first half of its 2025-2026 financial year.
The agreement also reinforces HRS’s position as a major provider of hydrogen infrastructure services in Europe, supporting the operation of regional hydrogen mobility networks beyond the initial deployment of refuelling stations.
